Challenge

My main goals were to illustrate a true spirit of creative work and experimentation that reigns in the workshop and to combine steampunk and futuristic cyberpunk styles.

The client wanted to add some complex animation and make his website an outstanding one of a kind web project. The site contains workshop portfolio and information about the company.

Solution

Master Gor website was created in futuristic style. It combines interactivity, storytelling, and navigation with custom data publishing system.

I started my design process with sketching and developing the vector graphic set for the navigation. The last name of the workshop's owner refers to a folklore creature that resembles a dragon. This character became a core concept for the navigation.

The website also has some interactive game controls and user can select different website's versions. Light version has an animated slideshow, while the full one contains more advanced horizontal parallax scrolling.

This project was a collaboration with Special One Creative Agency that created the collage and panorama. I was focused mostly on animation, vector graphic, front end development, and testing.

Also, the project was one of the most significant in my career as I put a lot of time and efforts in it, applied various skills and even learned a new programming language.

Master Gor is a fully Flash-based website developed in Adobe Flash CS4 with ActionScript 3 in 2011.
